Gas: Qatar signs a big check for Nigeria’s Lekoil field ($184 million)
The company, which specialises in oil exploration and production in Nigeria and West Africa, is set to receive a loan from Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund to develop its site off the Nigerian coast.

A binding loan agreement was signed for this project at the beginning of January 2020 between Lekoil 310 – the local subsidiary of the oil and gas group – and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), the Qatari sovereign wealth fund. According to the latest figures available, QIA had over $335bn billion in assets under management in 2017.
