Côte d’Ivoire: discussions on an amendment to the Saf Cacao liquidation protocol

The story of the liquidation of the cocoa trading company Saf Cacao is far from over even if Alain Guillemain, the chartered accountant who is supervising the procedure, is expected to close the case by the first half of 2020 at the latest.

Saf Cacao was taken over at the end of January 2019 by Société Africaine de Café Cacao (SACC) following a procedure launched in 2018. This deal, which involves more than a dozen local and international banks, is, however, back in the headlines.
