Ghana: Société Générale among institutions interested in a loan to Cardinal Resources for its new gold mine (5 million oz)

To finance the development of its Namdini gold project, located in northern Ghana near the mines of the giants Newmont and Kinross, Cardinal Resources approached the British investment bank Cutfield Freeman & Co.

A data room was opened and several banking and financial institutions consulted it and submitted term sheets to Cardinal. According to a source contacted by Jeune Afrique Business+, the Australian junior is in negotiations with Société Générale for a bank loan of close to $400 million.
