Morocco: Magenta law firm sides with Inwi in its battle against Maroc Telecom

In the Kingdom of Morocco, the leading mobile operator has had its wrists slapped by the regulator for “abuse of dominant position”. Parisian law firm Magenta leads the charge.

On 2 February, Morocco’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) imposed a 3.3 billion MAD fine (approximately 309 million euros) on Maroc Telecom, the Cherifian market leader , for “abuse of dominant position” in the domestic telecoms market.
