With AfricInvest and Bpifrance at its side, Piriou wants to bolster its position in North Africa

The shipbuilder and ship repair specialist from Brittany, France takes on new shareholders to continue its push into Africa. The first step will be to strengthen its operations in Morocco.

Piriou already has operations in West Africa (Nigeria, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire) and North Africa (Algeria and Morocco) where it wants to reinforce its position. According to our sources, discussions have moved forward with the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics on setting up a repair unit in Morocco. The group is already there maintaining and serving the Moroccan navy, which has purchased several buildings for the company since 2015.
