AMG (Luc Gerard Nyafe) finally takes control of CMT, the leading producer of lead and silver in Morocco, with a $25 million acquisition
The very profitable Compagnie minière de Touissit (CMT) generated €26.5 million in dividends in 2018. According to information shared with Jeune Afrique Business+, the Congolese businessman, who accumulated his immense wealth in Columbia and advises President Tshisekedi of the DRC, is counting on using the mining company’s expertise to develop his Peruvian subsidiary, BGPP (Brexia Gold Plata Peru).

Negotiations for the acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in Osead Maroc Mining (OMM), which controls 37% of Compagnie minière de Touissit (CMT), have been ongoing for nearly a year, as we predicted in an article published on 10 July 2019. The whole process has been laborious since it took the Auplata Mining Group (AMG), headed by Luc Gerard Nyafe (CEO), some time to see things eye to eye with Jean François Fourt, who controls the remaining 49% interest in OMM.
