Tembo Power to raise $100 million for its hydroelectric projects

The company is seeking to expand its near 200MW portfolio on the continent, with the support, among others, of the former Global Head of Power & Infrastructure at Standard Bank in South Africa.

Tembo Power‘s 2020 priority remains the equity financing of its various projects in Central and East Africa. After five years of business during which the company has taken the time to unearth opportunities and to make progress on the land, technical and legal issues, it is now moving to the financing phase of its nine African run-of-river projects, including a solar/hydroelectric hybrid development.
