Canon’s multi-front offensive on the continent

With its strategic “Africa500” project, the Canon conglomerate aims to quickly gain momentum on the continent. While the 54 African markets accounted for €293m ($328m) in revenues in 2019, the Japanese group is targeting income of over half a billion dollars for 2022. This translates into a projected increase of 23% in annual sales over the next three financial years.
