The Russian gold mining company (with net profit of $167m in 2019 for 1.4 million ounces produced) has solicited young London-based firm Bacchus Capital to advise it over the course of its proposed acquisition of Australian gold developer Cardinal Resources.

The takeover bid, staggered over several stages, values the entire share capital of Cardinal Resources, an ASX-listed gold junior that holds interests in several gold projects in Ghana, at $143m (AUD$227m).
