Bourem-Kidal road: details of the AfDB financing package
The Malian government has finalised the financing for this section of the trans-Saharan road with the pan-African institution. It now wants to start work in mid-2020, when the calls for tenders will be launched.

On 5 March, Prime Minister Boubou Cissé signed an agreement with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to ratify the payment of €47.5m, divided into two grants from the African Development Fund (ADF) and the Technical Assistance Fund (TAF) – amounting to €2.7m and €6.9m – and two loans from the same bodies, amounting to €10.2m and €27.9m.
