The Fonds Gabonais d’Investissements Stratégiques (Serge Mickoto) temporarily acquires BNP Paribas’ stake in Bicig
The transaction was finalised at the end of March. However, according to information from Jeune Afrique Business+, “advanced negotiations” are in progress to transfer the stake.

In view since the end of 2016, the acquisition of French bank BNP Paribas’ 47% stake in Banque internationale pour le commerce et l’industrie du Gabon (Bicig) by the Fonds gabonais d’investissements stratégiques (FGIS) was approved by the board of directors of the Libreville-based bank on 27 March.
