Major Anglo-Saxon firms were in charge of the acquisition by the Chinese sovereign wealth fund Silk Road Fund of a 49% stake in the significant renewable assets of the Saudi energy company ACWA Power. This subsidiary, named ACWA Power Renewable Energy Holding Ltd (ACWA Power RenewCo), spearheads a number of key projects such as the Moroccan Solar Energy Programme, known as Noor, in Ouarzazate.
