Mauritania: Ernst & Young Paris set to work on the government’s hydrocarbons business strategy
At the end of May, the French division of Ernst & Young (EY) was chosen to assist the Mauritanian Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines and its commercial arm, the Mauritanian Hydrocarbons and Mining Heritage Company (SMHPM), in the assessment of its organisational and HR needs, and in drawing up a business strategy.

The contract falls within the framework of the Supporting Gas Project Negotiations and Enhancing Institutional Capacities project, launched by the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines, following the discovery of the Greater Tortue/Ahmeyim gas field straddling Mauritania and Senegal.
