The Development Bank of Mali accelerates its expansion and targets Niamey and Cotonou

The Development Bank of Mali (BDM) is the country’s leading bank, with total assets exceeding 1trn CFA francs last year.

It is working to develop its presence in various WAEMU countries and has just obtained the agreement of the WAMU Banking Commission to open two branches – one in Lomé, and another in Dakar. Niamey and Cotonou are to follow, although the requests for accreditation have not been submitted yet.
