Axian renews interest in managing Benin’s SBIN (telecoms)

Following the inclusion of mobile services in the brief provided by the Société béninoise d’infrastructures numériques (SBIN), Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned that Bouygues Energies & Services, which had originally entered the race via its subsidiary Axione, has now withdrawn along with several others.

More information is emerging regarding the candidates interested in managing public company SBIN following the addition of mobile services to the brief, as announced exclusively in our columns on 19 March. The announcement led the state to write to several companies and groups to reassess their interest.
