Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya National Highways Authority, etc., receive $750m from the World Bank
The cheque given to Nairobi by the Washington, DC-based institution is part of a $15bn regional plan known as the Horn of Africa Initiative.

This first project will cost a total $896.11m, including $750m funded by the International Development Association (IDA), the arm of the World Bank that helps the world’s poorest countries. Kenya will cover the rest of the financing, with an investment of $146.11m. The IDA credit comes with a maturity of 30 years, along with a five-year grace period.
