Behind Moez Driss’ contract with Marriott International in Tunisia
Despite the pandemic, major American brand Marriott International is setting up in Tunisia with a top-of-the-range hotel in partnership with Moez Driss’s Joossoor group, which is involved in manufacturing, agri-food, tourism, and real estate.

Located on the famous Boujaffar beach in the centre of Sousse, a seaside town south of Tunis, the Sousse Pearl Marriott Resort & Spa’s 224 rooms recently welcomed a diversified clientele. “Holidaymakers, visiting businessmen, conference-goers, NGOs, embassies… our strategy is diversification. Covid-19 has shown that concentrating on tour operators is not viable in the long term,” Foued el-Mabrouk, Executive Advisor within the Joossoor group, told Jeune Afrique Business+.
