The Union Togolaise de Banque (UTB) and the Banque Togolaise pour le Commerce et l’Industrie (BTCI) will be acquired as a single lot. Slowed down by the Covid-19 pandemic, the process of selling off the two public banks has been relaunched by the Privatisation Commission, led by prominent Togolese financier Sani Yaya, with the opening of a data room. “The next stage in the process is for the pre-qualified candidates to make their technical and financial bids,” a source close to the matter told Jeune Afrique Business+.
