Further complaints pending in DIT (APMT/Bolloré) vs Autonomous Port of Douala

Bolloré and APMT (Maersk), the two reference shareholders of Douala International Terminal (DIT), have not yet finished with the Autonomous Port of Douala (PAD) following last week’s ruling handed down in DIT’s favour by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Court of Arbitration in Paris.

DIT, their subsidiary that previously managed the Cameroonian city’s container terminal, has just won its case in relation to two claims – the first regarding the sharing of parking revenues with PAD, and secondly, regarding its inability to participate in the January 2018 call for tenders for the concession’s renewal. However, according to our sources, further complaints are currently being examined and the dispute between the two parties is not over.
