The telecom group, present in 18 African markets, has just launched sales of the cross-border fibre optic network “Djoliba”, which connects eight West African cities (Dakar, Conakry, Monrovia, Bamako, Abidjan, Ouagadougou, Accra and Lagos).

After 20 years on the continent, where it achieves a good part of its growth, Orange is now relying on its local teams to operate the 10,000 km network, which pools part of its subsidiaries’ existing networks (Sonatel and Orange Côte d’Ivoire) and has required a total investment of $300m.
