Amid the pandemic, the Badaa family’s Lamatem boosts its medical textile factory
The group—which had made a name for itself with its medical textile factory during the health crisis—is planning to strengthen its unit’s capacity.

At the head of the Novatis group, textile specialists since 2003, the Badaa family is speeding up the pace at its single-use medical textile production plant in the Casablanca Settat region. Launched a few months before the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lamatem subsidiary, managed by Ali Badaa—trained at the University of Houston—applied for a €6 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The application was approved last December.
