Glencore clears $127 million VAT slate in Zambia and exits
The connection is broken between the Government and the Swiss trading group, which decided to withdraw its $1.5 billion investment from its copper mine.

After several requests to the tax authorities in Zambia, Glencore resigned itself to giving up $127 million of recoverable VAT related to its copper mine. The group decided last month to withdraw from the country.
