Walid Loukil, deputy general manager of the Loukil Group (agriculture, automobiles, engineering services, commerce, real estate), was responding to last week’s announcement to float the Sudanese pound—causing an 85% devaluation of the currency—which he saw as an opportunity to invest in the East African country, especially in the agricultural sector.
