After announcing on 26 April, the names of the two candidates for Ethiopian telecom licenses—Global Partnership for Ethiopia (bringing together Vodafone, Vodacom, Safaricom, CDC, Sumitomo) and MTN—the country’s authorities assessed their financial and technical offers on 29 April 29. The review is expected in the coming days.
