UK’s CDC Group provides $50 million facility for Ecobank

With a strong presence in financial services in East and Southern Africa, the British institution of international development finance is now extending its reach into Francophone Africa.

The CDC Group approached a leading banking group in the region, Ecobank, based in Lomé, specifically its subsidiary Ecobank International SA (EBI SA). Headed by Jean Erwin Nizet, the latter operates from Paris in corporate banking, trade finance and asset management services.
