Boeing’s growth prospects for the continent’s commercial aviation market should make this pipeline even fuller. Boeing expects 1,030 aircraft to be handed over by manufacturers to African airlines over the next 20 years, representing a market worth $160 billion, plus $235 billion in maintenance, repair and overhaul services. As a result, Africa’s commercial aircraft fleet is expected to reach 1,560 aircraft by 2040.
