AFD to commit €40 million to EURIZ guarantee by early 2022

The bank guarantee program for loans to SMEs, conducted with the support of the European Union, is half used up. It is scheduled to end in 2024 and needs to be extended.

“The implementation of the program is progressing at a steady pace, and by the end of 2021, AFD Group had deployed €90 million in guarantees for a target of €180 million. On the same date, the group was appraising several new projects for the equivalent of €40 million,” according to information gathered from AFD by Africa Business+.
