Arise/Meridiam Nouakchott Container Terminal suffers start-up delays

The new infrastructure built in Nouakchott by Arise Infrastructure Services (Olam Group) and the French infrastructure manager Meridiam, inaugurated on 14 December, has not established itself in the West African port galaxy yet.

Intended as a regional hub, the Nouakchott Container Terminal (TCN), with a 570m quay and a capacity of 250,000 TEU containers per year, is still not part of a single regular West African rotation of container ships.
