HDF Energy to launch Africa’s first hydrogen power plant in Namibia
The €175 million project will be financed 70% by local debt and 30% by investor capital.

Once environmental approvals are obtained, and construction is complete, the non-intermittent renewable power plant, Renewstable Swakopmund (RSWK), will serve Namibia’s fourth-largest city, Swakopmund, located on the Atlantic coast, as well as neighbouring mining companies.
