DRC: Tanzania’s CRDB Bank hinges on OK from BCC’s Malangu Kabedi Mbuyi
According to Africa Business+ sources, the Congolese authorities are examining the licence application from Tanzania’s first bank who is counting on getting the go-ahead by the end of the year.

At the beginning of March, Ally Laay, chairman of the board of CRDB Bank, Tanzania’s market leader with $3 billion in assets and a GNP of $101.5 million in 2020, indicated on the sidelines of a ceremony attended by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, his hope to open its first DRC subsidiary “in the third quarter of 2022”.
