Oxy pays $170 million in Ghanean taxes to divest local operations
The authorities agreed to the $750 million transaction on the condition that the balance of tax arrears be paid.

The sale of the shares of Ghanaian oil assets (Jubille and TEN) of the US group Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) for $750 million was finalised in favour of Kosmos Energy ($550 million) and the state-owned Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) ($200 million) at the end of 2021.
