Liberia: Fouta cement grinding plant gets IFC/IDA financing

The materials importer and trader will benefit from three loans from the IFC and IDA for a $43 million industrial project in Monrovia. These loans, partly concessional, enable it to confirm US financing.

The final signing of the financing programme between Fouta and the IFC (World Bank) is due to take place in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 14 June, between Sérgio Pimenta, the IFC’s regional vice-president for Africa, and officials of the Liberian company, Hamidou Gnan, founder and CEO, and Mohamed Sow, president and CEO.
