Zambian Breweries (AB InBev) structures $80 million investment with Stanbic Bank and FNB
This new investment will enable it to double its beer production capacity in Lusaka over the next 18 months and thus strengthen its local position in the face of its competitor Heineken, which is preparing several acquisitions in the region.

Africa Business+ has learnt that Zambian Breweries will reinvest some of its profits, which remain in the country, and use existing and new bank loan facilities with Stanbic Bank and First National Bank (FNB), its usual lenders, to cover costs in foreign and local currencies to finance the expansion.
