To purchase two A330neo aircraft, signed for on 25 October at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, Air Côte d’Ivoire, headed by Laurent Loukou, will use, as in 2017, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) managed by a trustee. The SPV will act as an “aircraft lessor”, entering into a lease agreement with the Ivorian airline, its sole “aircraft lessee”. The carrier will make quarterly lease payments to the SPV, which will service its debt with the lending agencies.
