Larsen & Toubro wins $67m electricity project linking Sfax and Sousse
The Indian group is positioning itself as a partner of choice for Tunisian energy projects.

Larsen & Toubro, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange,won the contract to reinforce the country’s south-north high voltage transmission network on 6 December. Crucial for Tunisia, which has structural deficits in the electricity sector, this project will construct a 197km long 400kV double-circuit line linking the Skhira power station in the Sfax governorate in the north to Kondar in the Sousse governorate in the south.
