Côte d’Ivoire : Centamin reducing costs on Doropo gold project
Centamin plc, which operates a single mine, the iconic Sukari gold deposit in Egypt, is diversifying its portfolio beyond the borders of the Land of the Pharaohs.

Doropo, the firm’s most extensive overseas project, is a yellow metal prospect in the far northeast of Côte d’Ivoire, 480 km from Abidjan. Centamin has roughly 1,850 km2 with an indicated resource of 2.52 million oz of 1.52 g/r Au grade ore. A preliminary economic assessment (PEA) was completed in 2021, and a pre-feasibility study (PFS) was due mid-last year.
