Endeavour Mining takes sharp write-down of Burkina gold mines

The Burkinabe gold mines of Boungou and Wahgnion, which were part of two recent major acquisitions, Semafo and Teranga Gold, have been subject to a significant non-cash impairment by their operator, Endeavour Mining, the group partially owned by Egyptian financier Naguib Sawiris.
