IFC on board for Scatec’s new Green Bond
The Washington-based financial institution has subscribed to over 20% of the latest Green Bond programme from the Norwegian renewable power developer, which made heavy losses in 2022. The debt will mainly finance a $1bn project in South Africa.

Scatec, a Norwegian company specialising in renewables, welcomes the cash inflow. The International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, will subscribe to over 22% of Scatec’s latest Green Bond issuance.
