DPI finally acquires ex-Louis Dreyfus Company Solevo

The deal, in the works for over a year, was stalled by the conflict in Ukraine. DPI, at the head of a consortium including three other minority shareholders, intends to accompany its acquisition in a new growth phase, notably geographical.

According to Africa Business+ sources, Solevo Group – a leading distributor of chemicals and inputs in Africa – is changing ownership after five years in the portfolio of Helios Investment Partners and Singapore’s Temasek. The company is now owned by pan-African fund manager Development Partners International (DPI). The DPI giant with $3 billion in assets under management structured a consortium with three other minority shareholders, Germany’s DEG, the Netherlands’ FMO and Mauritius’ South Suez.
