Joel Amani Kouame pilots Farmerline’s development in Francophone Africa
Ghanaian agritech company Farmerline Group is expanding in the sub-region by launching operations in Côte d’Ivoire with local and international partners, including Beyond Beans, TechnoServe, Bayer and Locagri. The aim is to provide Ivorian farmers access to quality fertilisers and seeds and free training on smart farming practices.

Joel Amani Kouame, based in Abidjan, was appointed Farmerline‘s regional director for French-speaking Africa and country director for Côte d’Ivoire to support this development. From 2017 to January 2023, he was senior advisor trade, investment and private sector at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Côte d’Ivoire. He built a strong relationship with the Dutch authorities and stakeholders in Farmerline’s development in Côte d’Ivoire and the region.
