China International Water & Electric Corporation interested in Actis’ shareholding in Eneo

The subsidiary of China Yangtze Power – manager of the Three Gorges Dam in China – is in negotiations with the British private equity firm to acquire the majority shares, Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned.

As we reported in July, Actis is still seeking to sell its stake in the power company Energy of Cameroon (Eneo), in which it holds a majority 56% share of the capital, the rest being in the hands of the Cameroon State.
