Gabon: Carlyle not planning to let go of Assala
Faced with rumours of a possible sale of its Gabonese assets, the U.S. group reaffirms its plans to keep its oil subsidiary, despite the current difficulties in the sector.

“We have no plans of selling our shares; we have not and will not appoint an adviser in this regard,” Eric Faillenet told Jeune Afrique Business+. The upstream director of Carlyle International Energy Partners – CIEP also sits on the board of directors at Assala Energy.
