Karim Alaa takes the reins from Hesham Mekawi at BP
After serving for more than two years as Country Manager for Egypt, Karim Alaa will become Senior Vice President for North Africa.

Set to take up his post as of 1 July 2020, Karim Alaa will succeed Hesham Mekawi, who is retiring after a career spanning three decades at BP, following a transitional phase that will continue until the end of 2020.
