After resigning from Platinum Power, Omar Belmamoun bounces back with Total
The Moroccan energy company’s former leader is taking on a new role within the French giant’s renewable energy subsidiary.

It’s a new start for Omar Belmamoun. Six months after leaving Platinum Power following a dispute with shareholder Michael Toporek, the Moroccan has bounced back, joining energy company Total Eren. Since 1 June, Belmamoun has been acting as a Senior Advisor for the French group’s local subsidiary, which recorded a turnover of $200bn for 2019 and a net profit of more than €11bn.
