Jacques Ndjamba seeking funds to finance urban kiosks in Yaounde

After signing a contract in 2018 to instal 1,300 multifunctional kiosks in Douala, the reserved Cameroonian entrepreneur, who made his fortune in oil and gas, has agreed to build another 700 units in Yaounde.

On 23 September, Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute declared Jacques Ndjamba Mbeleck‘s communications company Accent Media the winner of a partnership contract to equip the city of Yaounde with 700 multifunctional kiosks – a contract worth over 5bn CFA francs, to be carried out as a BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) over 15 years. “After signing the contract with the mayor of the capital, we need to gather together the funds to build these kiosks, part of which will be in the form of a bank loan,” explains the entrepreneur.
