EBID loan to revive Mali’s Sélingué and Sotuba hydroelectric projects

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) will grant CFAF 6.5 billion to refurbish the Sélingué and Sotuba hydroelectric works on the Niger River. The objective is to increase the country’s electricity production.

The hydroelectric schemes of Sélingué (Bamako region) and Sotuba (Sikasso region) on the Niger River are being rehabilitated thanks to a loan from the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID).
