Baker McKenzie advises Blom Bank on the disposal of Egyptian subsidiary
Blom Bank Egypt SAE has been acquired by Arab Banking Corp, which intends to build on the €352 million transaction to become one of the country’s 20 largest banks.

The consulting team was led by Mohamed Ghannam, managing partner, head of projects at Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo. A graduate of Cairo University and Harvard, he worked on the Mostorod refinery project ($3.7 billion), one of the largest PPPs in Egyptian infrastructure history.
