Nouakchott retains BIS-TP-Smart-Edarat-ICC consortium for Tier III data centre

The contract to build a Tier III data centre in Nouakchott was won by a consortium comprising BIS-TP—owned by the president of the National Employers’ Association of Mauritania (UNPM) Mohamed Zein El Abidine Cheikh Ahmed—the Mauritanian Smart, the Saudi Edarat and the Lebanese ICC. The contract signed on 12 February covers the supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of the IT equipment and fitting-out of the server rooms for a total amount of $8 390 000.
