Sinohydro Corp provisional winner of Dakar desalination contract

The Chinese multinational has just won the contract to build a seawater desalination unit in the Senegalese capital. This is on the condition, however, that none of the other five competitors appeals.

Despite a nearly three-year delay in delivery, the seawater desalination project is gradually taking shape. Jeune Afrique Business + learned that the contract had been awarded (provisionally) to Chinese Sinohydro Corporation Limited. The amount of lot 1 is CFA F 11.5 billion, and that of lot 2 is CFA F 18 billion.
