Ivanhoe Mines’ recent fundraising of $575 million—at an unprecedented 2.5% interest rate—is advancing the feasibility study to build a $600 million smelter. The plant will process red metal concentrates from its giant Kamoa-Kakula project in Lualaba province (ex-Katanga).
